I left my passport in a drawer and was saved by the staff and safely returned to me. I would highly recommend this hotel. Knoxville, Tennessee 1, contributions helpful votes. I've stayed in third world conditions as well as at Ritz Carltons and Four Seasons. I don't expect too much in lower-end establishments other than comfort and cleanliness. The Hotel Paradise Inn could use some sprucing up; the property is not immediately attractive. There is nearly no landscaping, greenery, or flowering plants, which all thrive in this climate.
The pillows, mattress, and linens are abominable, although they had really nice towels. My toilet was not working upon arrival, but was fixed. There were a few bugs in my room, which I delivered outdoors. Probably the biggest infraction was a rooster who lived nearby and started his routine around 3. I realize they have to crow, however, you would think the hotel proprietor would pay off the farmer to move him elsewhere, as it is obnoxious and impossible to sleep through.
