Definitely shows humanity, not at it's best! You can buy anything you want here We were interested to see it but it definitely made me feel very sad. The Red Light District is everything it is reputed to be - freewheeling and uninhibited.
Store windows are shocking. Girls marketing their bodies through other windows is unsettling - they could just as well be in vending machines. Don't bring children here if you choose to come and gawk. Don't try to take pictures of the girls. You will wind up in an altercation. Sad that people go through here and stare at the women. I guess some choose the profession but they appear are so Conservative people should just stay out.
The Red Light District is a must-see if you're in town. Yes, they are sex workers dancing in windows, but a few steps down is a lovely coffee shop or 4 star restaurant.
When you are there, nothing seems out of the ordinary. All of this life just happens all around you. People of all ages walking around living their lives, and there's something for everyone. What you choose to do while you're there is up to you!
In our 3 day visit we walked through this area several times while going from place to place. They are just doing their jobs, and what was really notable to me, is how bored they look sometimes. It's just a job, and sometimes, like many jobs, it's boring. Originally i visited the area during the day and it was nice to see everything without crowds.
