Stayed here for a couple nights post cruise and we had as much fun in Puerto Rico as on our cruise. Hotel is very modern and rooms are big. We really liked our ocean view rooms. Lots of food close by. Lot of beach to walk. Water can be a bit rough. I would recommend Charle's car rentals as well, as they will pick you up at the cruise port and later drop you off at the airport. That saves some bucks and time.
Rental prices are very fair as well - better on line than calling. Kids saw Mark Antony who stays there occasionally. I recently stayed in the junior suite with my two parents I am 15 and was stunned when I walked in the room and was looking into the bathroom with a clear glass shower and a glass door leading to the toilet! There was no door to the restroom!! The bed was right outside the shower with a clear view to whoever might be inside.
My parents and I had to coordinate shower taking and when we would be out of the room so we could take a shower! This room would be fine for any couple or if you have small children but not anyone older like me! Really awkward and not necessary. This is my 1st time at a resort. Felix Perez, Victor Rodriguez? Genuinely concerned staff ready and available to help as much as possible. The hotel is very nice and the infinity pool over looking the ocean was delightful.
I stayed at La Concha for about a week and have nothing but nice things to say about the hotel. The hotel is about a minute drive from the airport and, to be quite honest, I wasn't immediately impressed. Perhaps because the day we checked in had been gray and rainy.
However, after checking into our room I was more than pleased. Our room had a refrigerator not a mini bar which is awesome and rare nowadays. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the view of the beach with a small balcony was just amazing. My only complaint about the room would be the shower. The shower was only partially enclosed with a glass door, which meant that after ever shower there was a good amount of water on the floor. Nothing major, just a minor irritant. The casino was really impressive.
